Larkhall YMCA Harriers is one of Scotland's longest established Running & Athletics Club. Based in Lanarkshire, over the years our members have performed with distinction at District, Inter-Districts, Scottish, British and International level, including the Olympic Games.

If you're unsure about joining the club straight away, after your two free sessions you can pay as you go for the next four weeks, at which point you will be asked to take out a membership. 


Find your running passion

Larkhall YMCA Harriers compete over a range of disciplines depending on the season and you'll get a chance to do it all with us. 

Track & Field

We do most of our track sessions either at the John Wright Sports Centre in East Kilbride or the Emirates Arena, Glasgow. Our training can cater for most track events from 60m through to the 10,000m, plus the long jump and shot putt. We encourage our members to compete in both club and external competitions suitable to their age, experience and level of fitness

Road Running

Our road running is done mainly in and around Larkhall and we also do trail running and hill sessions in nearby Chatelherault Country Park. We have a long and well established annual Road Race Championships, which consists of four races held over the winter months. Indeed, two of the races are run over courses that haven’t been altered in over 60 years. We also encourage members to take part in external events commensurate with their age, experience and level of fitness

Cross County

You're not getting away with it! In the winter we run through the mud! Our Cross Country season is tough but rewarding, providing great workouts and races at various venues throughout central Scotland. We hold training sessions in nearby Chatelherault County Park and we designate a Scottish Athletics permitted race as our Cross Country Championship Race each year.
